I am now the proud owner parent of two two year olds. Really I think that this is a celebration of ME (and Dallin) for having kept some small humans alive for two years and painstakingly bringing them into the world. You're welcome.
But moving past my selfish fixation on birthdays, I guess we can focus on them for a little while.
The girls! The twins got baby dolls for their birthday and have been carrying them everywhere ever since. They're even tried to feed the dolls real human food with disastrous and disappointing results.
Ruby's in the pink jacket, Norah is in the green coat. Dorothy wore that pink jacket all the time when she was little, I was psyched when the girls grew into it. It's so soft it makes me want to pet them when they wear it.
We did our usual traditions-- decorated the living room and had cake. They opened presents. We sang "Happy Birthday" to them over and over all day long.
We also did a birthday party Janelle-style: email friends the night before and bring cupcakes to the community center. Done and done.
Ruby after Dorothy helped her blow out her candles. The whole fire in front of you while a room full of people is singing and looking at you was a little uncomfortable for the Rubers.
Norah. I wizened up and had someone else take the pictures.
She thought blowing the candle was awesome, but her method wasn't quite effective. She required some back up. Don't worry, there were plenty of volunteers.
Party! The babies favorite people were there. Also some of my favorite people.
Ruby.
Norah.
Dorothy made them some puppets for their birthday. This was a few hours of work and she took a lot of pride in it. It was really sweet.
Let's rewind, shall we?
Just a few days old.

And now some stinking-adorable-hilarious two year olds. (Norah L Ruby R)
We love you little stinkers!

Congratulations Janelle and Dallin...I mean.... Ruby and Norah! The baby pictures you picked are epic.
It looks like they had a great birthday! Happy birthday Norah and Ruby!
I can't believe the twins are 2! I CAN believe you two kept small humans alive...what great fabulous parents you two are! I like your "style" of parties...mine sometimes happen that way, too. And I just caught up on your blog. What CUTE costumes that you made. Love em! Love to see and read about your adventures.
They are so adorable. Happy birthday to those two cute little girls. I still can't tell them apart in photos. Miss you all.
Good grief they're cute! And the puppets Dorothy made them-that's just too sweet!
What cuties! I love the cupcake faces. Glad you made it through the first two years. It seems like it should get a little easier from here on out? Hopefully!
They are the cutest two year olds ever! Wish I could live closer so I can see them more. Happy Happy Birthday to them!
You guys did it! We're not surprised. Those adorable two are now 2 and you and Dallin have done a super job raising and caring for them.
They are absolutely the cutest little twins, ever!
