More preggy pics for you! Notice that I'm wearing the same outfit as last time. Yeah, the wardrobe is getting to the point of pretty slim pickins'. Far too many people have gotten a nice view of my uncovered bulging belly lately.
This might be my LAST UPDATE!!!!
I just got back from yet another doctor's appointment. I'm dilated to a 4 and when they hooked my up to monitors, I was still "contracting" every 2-3 minutes. Yep, couldn't feel it unless I thought about it. So, I've been in some bizarre form of labor for weeks now, but it's brought me painlessly to 4 cm. That's nice. AND.... they're going to let me try to deliver normally (THANK YOU!!) on the condition that I get an epidural because they would need to do a breech extraction for Baby B. Well, okay. I say that sarcastically. As much as a natural birth sounds hippie cool and like a truly cool experience for some people, in reality, I don't like pain. So I am okay with that.
If I don't go into labor on my own, I have an induction scheduled for this coming Monday at 6:30 AM. Bed rest is over, folks. I want to go into labor on my own before then. Plus, my mother in law gets here tomorrow (yay! we're so excited. I'm one of those lucky ones who has a wonderful MIL), so the timing would be perfect. Any tips? Tricks? Help me out!
I've been avoiding going into labor for a while, so my plan now is to just do the opposite of what I've been doing. I think we're having something spicy for dinner tonight, going on a walk, and then maybe I'll do some shopping. But I think that I'll still let Dallin do the dishes, for old times' sake. : )
I was surprised that they'd want to induce me. Wouldn't it be better for babies to stay in as long as any other full term baby? I guess for twins, no. For two babies, 38 weeks is the equivalent statistically of a single baby going to 42 weeks, =bad for baby. Friday/Saturday (I can't remember which, I think Saturday?) is the 38 weeks mark for me. Let's get this show on the road! I am sooooooo excited.
Oh, and they measured babies at my ultrasound today. Guess how big. I have to admit, I'm glowing with pride at this one. I'm not really sure why something so thoroughly out of my control makes me proud, but it does.
Baby A- 7 lbs 7 oz
Baby B- 7lbs 2 oz
Accurate? Maybe we'll see soon!

I can't believe those babies have not come out yet with how big they both are! YOu are a saint!! You must incubate really nicely :) Good luck! I hope they come soon for your sake! LOVE YA
Holy cow, big babies!!
Paxton was 7lb 4 oz, and there was just one in there!
: ) I think that makes you super woman.
Those twins are giants. But I'm sure they're extremely cute giants. I wish you guys were closer so I could see them.
Wow! Thats as big as MY babies were! Super cool, you are doing awesome! I am so glad you made it this far. As for putting yourself into labor, I think I may have giving you my opinions on that. (get to work on those nipples, he he)
I guessed the 15th, so I'll take it personally if you have them before then. I had Lola al natural (it's not what I wanted, but we got to the hospital too late) it was HORRIBLE. Anyone who tells you otherwise is delusional. You enjoy that epidural. Good luck!!!
"You must incubate really nicely"
Meredith, that sounds like something Dwight Schrute would say.
Those are big babies! Good luck and I hope they come ASAP!
My sister-in-law had great success going into labor with her last baby with castor oil (thanks to the advice of a friend she says is a "pro" at going into labor...funny, huh?). She first mixed a tblsp with Coke...didn't work. Her friend convinced her to try one more time. So a few hours later she mixed a tbsp of the stuff with Sprite and low and behold she was in labor (and went very quickly, too) a few hours later. I hear it's disgusting...but hey, if you get desperate, it may be worth a shot! I hope for your sake those babies come tonight. Delivering that breech baby sounds like it could be fun. :( Good luck!!Can't wait to see those girls!
What great news!!! We're sending good vibes your way. Now, remember that post where we submitted our predictions? I'm still in the running here. I hope you and Dallin are working on the prize - lots of respect.
wow! You just made two regular sized babies at one time. So efficient. I'm so excited for them to come. I bet at least 8 oz is pure cheeks.
I haven't looked at blogs in MONTHS but I was talking to your mom yesterday at family dinner and I just had to check yours. You look amazing, really! YOu are still fit, just with a slightly larger tummy:) I am excited for you and can't wait to see the new babies! Good Luck! (oh, and happy days for drugs while giving birth!).
Oh, and I did the castor oil thing. While it did put me into labor (among other things such as stripped membranes and 5 days late) it wasn't worth it...trust me!!!!!
Way to go Janelle!!! I'm pretty sure you're going to beat me now!! :) Wow, I just can't believe how big those babies are. You look amazing for having 2 big babies! Good luck! Hopefully my baby will be soon to follow! :) Love, Ondalynn
Yeah! You should be glowing with pride. I think baby weight is somewhat in your control because you have worked hard to "rest" and keep them on the inside where they can grow and develop. That's a lot of baby to be packing around--congrats!!
Okay, totally unrelated to your blog post, but I can't remember your email address so I'm sending this here:

copy and paste that link, check out the twin-love, and sigh in happy bliss that two beautiful babies are coming YOUR way soon, too.
