I told Dorothy tonight that tomorrow we are going to pick blueberries with some of her favorite friends. That was probably a bad idea, I should have waited until tomorrow to tell her. Here was how it went.
She's been in bed for about 15 minutes, "reading" to herself, when I hear,
"Mom! MOM! Is it tomorrow right now?"
"No, Dorothy, you have to go to sleep and wake up for it to be tomorrow. It will be light outside."
"Mom, I'm going to pick blueberries tomorrow!"
"I know Dorothy, go to sleep."
"But Mom, I want tomorrow now."
"Nope kiddo."
"Okay."
Long silence. I think we have achieved sleep.
"Mom!!!! Is it tomorrow right now?"
I think the sun rises at 6 here. Any bets on if I get to sleep past then due to blueberry excitement?
It's sure cute though.
A picture of Dorothy. Just because.

That's so cute. She's so excited!
She is so cute! Hope she has tons of fun today and that she eats half of what she picks!
hahaha- that is hilarious! and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you guys!! Three girls!! How exciting is that?! Can't wait to meet them ;)
Yep, I learned long ago that it's best to leave my kids in a state of ignorance when "fun" is on the horizon. The joy of anticipation is over-rated when kids under 10 are in the picture.
