After he got home, we hit Art Beat. They close down South Bend's main street, and local artists set up booths. It was fun and interesting. The big benefits were that I got to see some gorgeous pottery (pottery always makes me swoon), and I finally got a source for some local wool-- I want to make felted wool with Dorothy sometime, I think she'd love it.
Taking it all in.
Art Beat.
Walkin' along. We got her a butterfly shaped balloon, and it was by far the highlight of the event for Dorothy. You can just see the tip of it here.
Ice sculptures.
The aftermath.
We were all a little tired afterward.
Dallin is super Dad. Saturday night was also our farm's fund raising dinner (Bertrand-- the one we work at bi-monthly for produce). It was going to go past bedtime though, so Dallin stayed home with Dorothy while I went with my friend Mamah. She left her kids home with their Dad too. It was FANTASTIC! Bands, great food, gorgeous weather. So so so SO fun.
I took some pictures on our way out. Isn't that truck and trailer just idyllic?
The fields.
