Farm Day

We were in charge of farm pick up today, and this one was extra fun because we got to bring Dorothy's best friend Finn. It was GREAT taking Finn. It's a 3 hour round trip, and they kept each other entertained the whole time with pretend sneezing, pretend sleeping, contests on who could scream the loudest, and the best spitter (I had to draw the line on that one). I'm sad, this is probably my last pick up before babies come, and then it will be a while before I'm up for this again. It's always so fun. We usually do the Meadowblend pick up about every 3 months, the rest of the time it gets delivered to us. Nice, huh? This is where we get meat, eggs, honey, and milk.

Finn and Dorothy. This tractor got a lot of love (and abuse) while we checked over people's payments and loaded the car.

This sweet kitten was the recipient of a lot of attention (read: terrorizing) as well.

After getting everything loaded up, we were free to run around. They had chicks that had just hatched the night before.

And they had older baby chicks as well. Dorothy and Finn had fun herding them in and out of their pen.
Looking in the back window at the baby chickens.

We made a stop by their HUGE garden. This family is busy, and they home school. Amazing.
"Finn, do you want a cherry tomato?" This is the face we got.

Dorothy after eating a green one.

Dorothy and baby goats. She's fearless with animals. They sniffed her ears and nuzzled her, but she just laughed. FYI, she takes that same attitude toward dogs, even when they're snarling at her. Makes Mama a little nervous.

Finn was more interested in this ramp than the goats.

Dorothy tried it too.

We headed home with some very tired kids. All in all, a fantastic afternoon.

That looks like so much fun! What a perfect place to take the kids too. I hope you are feeling well. We need to come visit you sometime still- don't worry we'll wait for a while! :)

Hey Janelle, It's Millie. So me and my friend found this post interesting. Because, Finn is her cousin. She was confused, then we saw his name
