Every chance she gets, she walks out the door and down the street, regardless of diaper, shoe, parental supervision or weather status. Taking out the trash or checking the mail has become an act of deception for me if I don't feel like spending the next hour exploring the neighborhood.
On this fateful day, the trash simply needed to be taken out. Despite having spent the previous hour at the park, being shoeless and dressed in only a onesie, Dorothy seized the day. I was in an adventurous mood, so I decided to let her take the lead entirely and I followed with my camera.
First stop, the flowers.
"Hi wowies, HI! So cute! Hi Hi!"
"Buh bye, wowies! Bye!" (Followed by multiple kisses blown in the lucky flowers' direction)
The adventure continues down the sidewalk.
"Happy Happy Happy!"
(Multiple attempts at whistling, followed by much clapping.)
This is actually not the famous Happy. Happy is another black dog, but Dorothy loved Happy so much, that all dogs are now Happy.
This dog, the same as the one in the previous picture, is Shorty. Even though Shorty is not the famous Happy, all Dorothy has to do is look at him and she erupts in smiles and giggles and attempts at whistling to get him to come closer.
On the way home, she stops to see more Wowies. Repeat previous experience with wowies.
Picture absent: Mom finally convinces Dorothy to go inside and get on pants and shoes. We then continue on to other grand adventures, like eating lunch and returning for the third time that day to the park. The adventure lives on.

Oh, what a good Mommy you are! So patient and full of fun. Loved the description of the "Wowies."
