We've made it!!!! That's right, the picture you see above is of a smile!!!!! (Blurry, I know. I'm just glad I caught it.) This is where I start really loving parenthood/babyhood. I will make any number of ridiculous and embarrassing faces and noises for these smiles. Norah smiled first on Sunday, and Ruby followed right after on Monday. This is the first picture I've caught. It's Norah showing off her new skills.
Annnnnd, now she sees the camera. Rats, no more smiles, just looks of "What is that flashing thingy?"
Good big sister.
They definitely do not suffer for lack of attention with Dorothy around. Granted I don't know if it's the kind of attention they want. It's more "Play with my doll!" and right up in their face "HI!!!!!" and bone-crushing, squishing hugs, but attention nonetheless.
Here Dorothy has kindly let Norah play with her baby doll and frying pan. Norah looks thrilled.
Really it's heart warming that Dorothy shares her doll with them. She is SO territorial with her dolls, usually she doesn't let her friends touch them. They're her babies and she takes care of them all day long. You'd think she'd get bored with it eventually, but nope.
Dorothy sleeping after she's tucked all her dolls in too. And yes, Vivienne, that's the blanket you made for the babies. Dorothy has definitely claimed it. : ) I don't think the babies will mind/notice for a while that she's taken over their blanket.
Ruby. She had just been smiling too, but then she saw the camera. Rats again. I will get good smiley pictures soon. Hopefully.

I love their smiles! I totally agree with you, parenthood just seems 10 times better when they start smiling. It makes those early mornings and lack of sleep so worth it when they just bust out a smile!
beautiful smiles - glad you at least caught one smile. Happy day indeed
Yes, HAPPY HAPPY DAY! You have arrived for sure. They are all so cute. love the pan and doll pic.
I hope YOU are smiling, too! You looked great last night, and I'm glad you're able to get out some.
Looking forward to our Spicy Sushi/Mexican lunch!
I'm glad Dorothy loves the blanket. What beautiful babies and those smiles are endearing.
