That's the plan, Stan

It's only a little over a week-and-a-half away. You know what I'm talking about... D-day, takeoff, blastoff, departure, MOVING day... all those scary words. So, here are our plans.

For those of you who I really haven't explained our plans to, here it is.
We are moving to South Bend, Indiana for Dallin to get his PhD in English Litrature at Notre Dame. It's a 5-6 year program, so we will be there a while, and we are hoping to buy a house (good credit, enough for a down payment, just getting someone to lend to us in this market is a little hard, but we'll keep you updated).

As far as dates go, our official "move it all out" date is Thursday, August 13. We're going with the pod system. Anyone really enjoy lifting boxes and cleaning?
Friday, Dallin has work and I am going to be babysitting my cute cousins in Springville for the day, and we'll probably stay at their house that night.

Saturday Dallin has work until 4, but after that we want to hang out around Provo with family and friends. Saturday night we'll sleep with my aunt and uncle in Alpine, then take off early in the morning on Sunday, August 16. We'll drive as much as we can, then camp somewhere that night (hopefully). Same for Monday.

Tuesday, August 18, if we stay on track, we should get into South Bend sometime in the early afternoon and have just enough time to check in to our apartment and get to the grocery store. Our pod should get to us by Friday, when we'll unload it all but not unpack everything, because hopefully we'll be moving into a house sooner rather than later. (I'm nervous, can you tell? Rest assured, if we aren't able to get a house, I will be OK. I just don't hide my nervousness well, so it's out here for the whole internet to see.)

So, that's the plan! Whew, laying it out like that is a good reminder that I need to be on the ball. I'm getting packed, but there is still a lot of work to do.
In the meantime, here is a picture of Dorothy in her new dress from Grandma "Booga" Cathy. Way cute. We tried our very hardest to get a good picture of her in it before church, and failed miserably. I think the attempts are still fun.

Wow! Good luck with everything. I hate the moving process but I'm sure the fun of knowing you get to start new in Indiana must make it fun. Let me know if I can babysit Dorothy.

Good luck with everything! : )

P.S. Writing that HUUGE check for the house is really weird and crazy, but it's totally worth it. Plus it keeps your mortgage low, which is awesome! No PMI is the best!
