My dad, stepmom and siblings were all in town and camping out in my dad's motor home for the week, while Dallin and I got to stay home for Christmas. That is SO nice, because traveling with kids is a challenge. It was great to have family come to us and take us out to dinner : ). Christmas Eve we had a party at my Aunt Valene's house in Provo where a couple members of the family started to feel sick. Uh oh. Not good. We went home and went to bed. In the morning, we found out that both Dad and stepmom Linda were very very ill, up praying to the porcelain god all night. So, part of the family that wasn't sick came over to our little studio apartment for breakfast, then the rest trickled over for dinner. It was definitely a challenge fitting us all, but it was fun. So, without further ado, here are some pics of Christmas day.
Once in a while, as soon as I take off Dorothy's diaper, she jumps up and runs around showing her little naked bum to the world, trying to avoid the inevitabe re-diapering. If I even get close to her with a diaper, she runs in the other direction. This is a picture of Dorothy running from me as I try to corner her to get a diaper on her. It's a battle sometimes, I never realize how strong (and strong willed she is) until I'm trying to put a diaper on her and she DOES NOT want to wear one. This is the Christmas morning race.
We stuck with the Lewis family tradition of getting cereal from Santa. Bet you can't guess who wanted what.
This is us Christmas morning. Dorothy seemed so confised as to why the camera was on the bed and blinking. She wanted to go play with it but we caught the picture just before she beelined over to it. (Don't worry- that string in the background isn't a loose wire or anything. The stockings used to be hanging on it.)
The loot! For some reason, every Christmas we've had together we lump the loot together and take a picture. Dorothy was ejoying her favorite present this year- rubber duckies. Thanks Grandma, it's totally turned bath time around.
In Dorothy's stocking, not only did she get yummy cereal, but she got her favorite thing of all- chocolate chips. Here she is clapping after eating one.
