The sugar high was epic.
That's Ruby in red. Handy, eh?
Norah and Ruby= princessesDorothy= Caroline Abbot, an American Girl from 1812. I bought the fabric for the dress in too dark a shade of pink. This was deemed by the lady to be mildly upsetting, but acceptable. She's gracious even in her criticisms of my sewing, bless her.
Baby toes! My main campaign platform for the last few weeks has been "Wear. Your. Dang. Shoes." But the toes are so cute. Sometimes it can't be helped.
I did let them run barefoot all summer long.
Sidenote: Do you see the hem fraying there? I did a terrible job because I hemmed their dresses about an hour before the party. Then, on actual halloween, I fixed my bad hem about an hour before trick-or-treating. I did this last year too. And the year before, come to think of it. Methinks we have a new Halloween tradition!
Note to self- the spider rings were a big hit with the 4-6 yr old crowd.
Ruby spent a long time very carefully arranging the loot.
This shot is to show the back of the Rubsters dress. I was so excited about it.
Pumpkin patch and actual Halloween pics to come!
