Playing Catch-up: Dorothy's Birthday

Not at all behind or anything. Dorothy's birthday party was only in December.

She asked for a "Little House" (as in Laura Ingalls) birthday party.

We played pin the bow on Laura's braid.

We made little bird seed cakes for the birdies.

  Had apple and pecan pie.

Dorothy got some presents.

And played "Don't eat Pete!" This was Dorothy's one request at her birthday party. Note to self, kids this age DO NOT have the self control needed for this game. I poured out the candy and you could see the internal struggle on their faces. Everyone just ended up eating candy after a round or two. Still awesome.

We love our little (big?) five year old.

I love that she wanted a Laura Ingles party! That is great! Looks like a lot of fun. My mother-in-law loves to have the grandkids play don't eat pete but it always dissolves in tears. Sounds like you figured out how to make a less-upsetting experience. :) Can you believe you have a 5 year old?!

I read this awhile ago but didn't have a chance to comment then. How fun to have a "Little House" Birthday party. Such a fun idea. Dorothy looked adorable. Can't believe she'll be going to Kindergarten this fall!
