New Mexico

Centered around the 4th of July, my sister Angie, Dorothy, and I went to New Mexico to see our Dad and and our other siblings who were there visiting him for the summer. Our poor husbands stayed home and worked their bums off.

It was an action packed few days including things like
-The BEST doughnuts I have ever tasted in my entire life from this amazing pastry store

-Lots and LOTS of animals for Dorothy to follow around repeating their names over and over and over as she went. The chicken coop was a magnet.

-Fantastic food: Did I mention the doughnuts already? AND this amazing restaurant in rural New Mexico we drove hours to get to.

-Swimming in Grandpas pool, and a bonfire almost every night.

-Staying up late and giggling with my sisters like we were in middle school again. Aaaaw.

-Four wheeling in Colorado

-Hiking to old Native American Ruins built into a cliffside.

"Horsey! Horsey! Horsey! Horsey says, NAAAAAY!" (the "nay" part is what you're seeing in this picture)

Dorothy in Colorado. I love this picture.

Dorothy and Aunt Elise picking "wowies".

The cliff dwellings, built in 700 AD (wow!)

No pictures, she says. What a nice Grandpa to carry her all that way.

Montana and other adventures soon to come!
