Bummer

So, poor Dorothy had quite the week. Shots on Monday. Who likes those? Quickly followed by grocery shopping. Every kid hates that. She grabbed desperately at every bag and piece of produce I put in the bag. Last week, I let her hold an avocado. She ate the rind along with a good quarter of it. (I feed her, I swear!!!!) I learned my lesson, so instead I let her play with a bag from the bulk bin section- it just happened to be salt. She bit her way right through the plastic and got a great taste of straight salt. I wish I had my camera. She did that funny, head shaky "yuck" thing you do when you eat something truly awful, and looked at me like I had betrayed her. Hmmm, maybe I'll bring an actual toys next time. Novel idea.
Tuesday, she was FUSSY! Little did Mom think she might be getting sick. No, I was just frustrated because I couldn't figure out what she wanted. And she woke up and was awake for an hour in the middle of the night. Today- temperature of 103 degrees!!! Poor kid! We went to the doctor and she's fine, just not feeling too well. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Right now, she is sleeping peacefully thanks to Tylenol.
Here are some pictures of happier times. I like to post pictures with every post, een if they are totally unrelated. This is actually my favorite picture ever of Dallin. I caught him off guard this summer at the cabin in Montana. He was rocking with Dot and she was babbling to him. What a good listener.

Nelly, I swear that I have not forgotten to phone you!! Swear on my life I am ALWAYS in class or the hospital, but one of these days I am going to find the time. I am so sorry. However, the picture of Dallin and Dot in the swing is the cutest thing I have ever seen. What a peaceful and serene day with her Daddy. Darling, darling, darling. I hope all is well with you. Happy American Thanksgiving to you girlie!
