I have been wanting to get a pixie hair cut for a long time- I always thought they looked cute and very low maintenance, but I never thought I'd get the guts to do it. But this week, two experiences drove me to the point of action. Lately, Dorothy has only been taking a 2 hour nap or less, so during her nap on Monday, I showered and got ready spending a total of 1/2 hour showering and drying my hair (which wasn't even that long, but still took some time). As I finished, I was thinking about how much valuable me time I'd wasted. I could be reading a book! doing a sewing project! napping! Anything but wasting that precious 1/2 hour of me time on my hair! The next day I decided to get ready while Dorothy was awake, to preserve my me time. This time, she screamed the entire time I was in the shower, and hugged my leg and wailed while I dried my hair. Not a pleasant experience for either of us. That did it for me. It seemed that we could reach no positive solution with my cute bob still intact. So, I called my wonderful cousin Rachel, who recently graduated from hair school, and set the date. With pictures in hand, I walked in to the salon, gritted my teeth and closed my eyes. Ta DA! I LOVE it. It's no work at all in the morning, and I think it looks sassy. Good job Rachel. (More pics to come later- this is just a quick one we took on Halloween)
